SEDGWICK COUNTY— Authorities in Wichita are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that took place at a massage parlor in the city.
The incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the massage parlor located at 2723 SE Boulevard Plaza. According to Officer Juan Rebolledo, responding officers found a man identified as Robexy Figueroa, a resident of Wyoming, at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Figueroa was pronounced dead by Sedgwick County EMS.
Initial reports suggest that Figueroa entered the establishment armed with a firearm, allegedly intending to commit a robbery. A confrontation ensued between Figueroa and a 71-year-old man present at the scene, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between the two individuals.
The 71-year-old man sustained several gunshot injuries during the altercation and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officer Rebolledo has since confirmed that the man is currently in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery following the incident.
