PA Saleem : “Kerala Crime: Accused Arrested for Kidnapping and Assault”

A special investigation team has apprehended PA Saleem, a 35-year-old man from Kodak, in connection with the abduction and assault of a ten-year-old girl who was sleeping at her home in Kasaragod. Saleem was taken into custody and brought to Kanhangad station late last night. Following an extensive interrogation, formal charges will be filed against him today.

Following the incident, Saleem was identified as the perpetrator based on nearby CCTV footage. Despite his attempts to evade capture by switching off his phone, authorities were able to trace him to Andhra Pradesh when he made a call to his sister. Law enforcement officers tracked his location using tower data and apprehended him. Saleem is also implicated in another case involving the abduction of a girl whom he took on a motorcycle to a forest.

The abduction took place last Wednesday morning in the Padannakkad coastal area, where Saleem entered the girl’s house while her grandfather was away milking the cow. He then took the girl through the kitchen door to a nearby field where he sexually assaulted her. Additionally, the assailant stole the girl’s earrings during the ordeal. The incident came to light when the injured girl managed to reach a neighbouring house and seek help.
