Kaieteur News – Following the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of 25-year-old welder, Joshua Hardatt, in a car at Auchlyne Cultivating Dam, startling details have emerged in the case. The main suspect in this heinous crime has shockingly confessed to the murder, citing a troubling motive.

Law enforcement officials have apprehended two individuals in connection with the murder of Mr. Hardatt, with one of the suspects making a shocking admission. The suspect, who had recently been released from prison for a previous offence, claimed that he took the life of the young welder due to a perceived betrayal.

According to reports, the suspect alleged that Hardatt had engaged in an illicit relationship with his wife while he was serving time behind bars. The confrontation that ensued between the suspect and the victim on the fateful day culminated in a violent altercation, resulting in Hardatt’s tragic demise.

Police investigations have revealed that the murder took place during the evening hours of Tuesday and the early morning of Wednesday. Hardatt had left his residence in his silver grey Toyota Premio vehicle, only to be found deceased in the back seat of the car at Auchlyne Cultivating Dam.

Upon discovery of the body, visible signs of trauma were evident, with injuries to the face and head indicating a brutal assault. Hardatt’s remains have been transported to Ramoo’s Funeral Home, awaiting a thorough Post-Mortem Examination (PME) to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Expressing her anguish over the loss of her brother, Hardatt’s sister lamented, “They took his life in such a cruel manner, he did not deserve such a fate.” She further added, “He was a kind and helpful individual, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. We must seek justice for the injustice inflicted upon my brother.”
