MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Martinsville Police have made an arrest and are searching for another individual in connection to a shooting outside Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill on May 18.
Authorities were called to the scene at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday after reports of gunfire in the parking lot of the popular restaurant. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was transported to SOVAH Health Martinsville with a gunshot wound to his leg, which was deemed non-life-threatening.
Following a thorough investigation that included reviewing surveillance footage, police identified two suspects. One of them, 24-year-old Rosario Nasiar Eggleston, has been arrested and is facing multiple charges. These charges include malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, willfully discharging a firearm in a public place, possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a violent convicted felon, and three counts of destruction of property.
However, the second suspect, 24-year-old Jalen Davon Pritchett, remains at large. Pritchett is wanted on charges that include malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, willfully discharging a firearm in a public place, possession of a firearm after an assault and battery of a family member, carrying a concealed weapon (second offense), possession of a firearm under a protective order, and three counts of destruction of property.
