Accident – Death – Obituary News : A resident of Winston-Salem has been arrested following a violent confrontation on Gumtree Road, as reported by the Forsyth County deputies. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, involved a shootout that resulted in injuries to a 21-year-old man named Preston Fansler.

The Forsyth County deputies were called to the scene on Gumtree Road, where they found Fansler with gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a nearby medical facility, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a dispute between Fansler and another individual escalated, leading Fansler to open fire. In retaliation, the other party returned fire, ultimately injuring Fansler in the process.

Additionally, it was revealed that Fansler had also assaulted a woman during the altercation. As a result, Fansler has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, as well as misdemeanor assault on a female. Notably, the individual who shot Fansler will not be facing any charges at this time.
