Accident – Death – Obituary News :
A 46-year-old man sustained serious injuries on Wednesday when he was hit by a truck while riding an electric scooter through Kensington, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place around 10 a.m. near the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and Fairmont Avenue. The man was travelling eastbound on the south sidewalk of El Cajon Boulevard when he disregarded a red light and entered the intersection, where he was struck by a GMC Penske truck heading southbound on Fairmont Avenue.
The scooter rider suffered a broken leg in the collision and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, as confirmed by SDPD.
Fortunately, the driver of the truck, a 67-year-old man, escaped unscathed in the incident.
