Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident shook the small village of Melpankti in Shiruru on Monday, May 20, as a 16-year-old boy, Nitin Achari, took his own life after facing a distressing situation at his school. The young student, who had recently passed his SSLC examination at Byndoor Government High School, was denied a transfer certificate, leading to a series of events that culminated in his untimely death.

According to Nitin’s family, the heartbreaking sequence of events began when he approached the school to request his transfer certificate. Instead of receiving the document he needed to secure admission in a college, Nitin was met with accusations from a teacher. The teacher alleged that Nitin had been involved in damaging school property, including breaking a CCTV camera and removing a toilet gate.

In a poignant note found at the scene of the tragedy, Nitin expressed his anguish and desperation, revealing that he had kept the ordeal hidden from his parents to spare them from trouble. The teacher had demanded that Nitin’s parents visit the school and pay a fine to obtain the transfer certificate, a request that Nitin found humiliating and unbearable. Despite denying the allegations, Nitin’s pleas fell on deaf ears, pushing him to the brink of despair.

Suresh Bhat, the headmaster of Byndoor Government High School, explained that the directive for students to meet the college principal before receiving their transfer certificates had come from a higher authority. Following this protocol, Nitin and three other students were sent to meet with the principal, a requirement that ultimately ended in tragedy for Nitin.

The heartbreaking incident has prompted an investigation by the Byndoor police station, with a case registered regarding Nitin’s suicide. As the community grapples with this devastating loss, it is essential to remember that suicide is not a solution to any problem. Individuals facing distress are urged to seek help from mental health experts and support services.
