Pune Porsche Crash

This recent tragedy in Mumbai comes in the wake of the devastating Pune Porsche crash that claimed the lives of two young IT professionals, Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhia, both hailing from Madhya Pradesh. The fatal incident occurred in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar on May 19, when a speeding Porsche collided with a motorcycle carrying the victims at the Kalyani Nagar junction. The two individuals, aged 24, suffered fatal injuries in the collision.

On Thursday, the Pune police summoned Surendra Kumar Agarwal, the grandfather of the teenage driver involved in the Porsche accident, as well as the Porsche’s driver for questioning in connection to the case. The Juvenile Justice Board has remanded the teenager to a city remand home until June 5. The board faced criticism for granting bail to the teenager within 15 hours of the incident, subject to two bonds of Rs 7,500 each and the completion of a 300-word essay.
