An elderly man tragically lost his life while trying to take pictures of two newborn calves in Homer, Alaska. The incident occurred when the mother cow moose charged at two men, kicking one of them, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.
The attack took place on Sunday, and medics arrived at the scene shortly before noon. Sadly, the man who was kicked by the cow moose was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Dale Chorman, a 70-year-old resident of Homer.
Department spokesperson Austin McDaniel shared, “As they were walking through the brush looking for the moose, that’s when the cow moose attacked Dale.” Following the attack, the cow moose left the area, and an investigation into the animal attack is currently ongoing.
