Accident – Death – Obituary News : Residents of Musole village in Bungoma South Sub-County were left in shock after two plain-clothes police officers, Raymond Adungo and Osiya Odera, were viciously attacked while on a private assignment to crack down on illicit brew in the area. The officers, who were in civilian clothing at the time, encountered a hostile mob that left them with severe injuries.
According to reports, Adungo suffered multiple wounds, including a deep cut on his head and chin, after being struck with a sharp object. He was promptly taken to Bungoma West Hospital for urgent medical attention. On the other hand, Odera sustained head and ankle injuries from a blunt object and was rushed to Nabuala Hospital by a Good Samaritan on a motorcycle. Fortunately, Odera is now in stable condition.
The incident has sparked an investigation led by the Sub-County Criminal Investigation Officer (SCCIO) in Bungoma to determine the motive behind the officers’ visit and the circumstances that led to the violent attack.
