Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Authorities in Nashville were alerted to a potentially abandoned vehicle at Hartman Park, prompting a welfare check that ultimately led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

On the evening of Monday, May 20, officers responded to the call at around 9:30 p.m. after reports of a vehicle that had been parked at the park for an extended period of time.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers noticed that the occupants inside the vehicle were wearing ski masks, raising suspicions. The driver, later identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Donnell, abruptly drove off after interacting with law enforcement.

Following a quick check on the vehicle’s tag, authorities confirmed that it had been reported stolen. A subsequent traffic stop allowed officers to remove the individuals from the vehicle and detain them for further investigation.

During questioning, Donnell admitted to finding the car with the keys inside and taking it without permission. It was also revealed that he was driving without a valid driver’s license at the time of the incident.

As a result, Donnell was arrested and charged with felony vehicle theft amounting to over $10,000, along with the additional charge of driving without a license. He is currently being held in custody on a bond set at $16,000.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of reporting suspicious activity to law enforcement, as it can lead to the recovery of stolen property and the apprehension of individuals involved in criminal activities.
