The police in St Catherine are currently investigating the murder of a 22-year-old man outside his house in Nutshell, Orangefield, Ewarton. The victim has been identified as Eratteen Christie, a labourer residing in the area. The motive behind the killing is yet to be determined, and the Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the investigation.
According to reports, the tragic incident took place last night around 8 p.m. when Christie received a phone call at home and subsequently left the house. Upon exiting, he encountered two unidentified men outside the dwelling, and gunshots were heard shortly after. Christie was later discovered lying face down on the ground with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Law enforcement authorities were alerted to the scene, and a thorough investigation was conducted. The victim’s body was then transported to a local funeral home for further processing.
