Tragically, a passenger in the vehicle, Vansh Patel, was ejected during the crash. The truck continued its trajectory, still airborne, until it crashed into a tree with its roof, eventually coming to an uncontrolled stop on the driver’s side.

The driver, identified as David Mullins, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. He was later transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

David Mullins was a recent graduate of Deerfield-Windsor High School, where he had just completed his senior year. The school’s head football coach, Brian McCrae, took to Facebook to express his sorrow over Mullins’ untimely passing.

In a heartfelt post, McCrae wrote, “The Lord took David Mullins from us last night and none of us are ready to let him go. Our heart goes out to the Mullins family as well as all of us grieving the loss of this incredible young man.”
