On Sunday afternoon, a 69-year-old man, identified as David Lynn Parker, was arrested by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office following a shooting incident in Junction City, Oregon. According to officials, deputies responded to a report of an argument with gunshots fired at a location south of Junction City on Bailey Lane.

It was reported that Parker drove to the location while allegedly intoxicated and confronted several Hispanic workers whom he accused of theft. He reportedly pointed and fired a rifle at one of the workers, causing injuries. In addition to the shooting, Parker also made racially derogatory comments about the workers.

The victim managed to defend themselves by striking Parker and knocking him unconscious before securing the rifle. Following the incident, Parker was evaluated for his injury and subsequently arrested by the authorities.
