In a tragic incident in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, a 17-year-old girl named Arti Markam was found dead in a nursery of Dhopghat forest on Friday. The young girl, a resident of Mate village, had been missing since Thursday, sparking concern among her family members and the local community.
Official sources have revealed that Arti was allegedly murdered by her juvenile lover, who shot her dead before disposing of her body in the forest. The heinous crime has sent shockwaves through the region, leaving many in disbelief at the senseless loss of life.
According to the police, Arti’s family members began searching for her when she failed to return home on Thursday. It was village guard Suratlal Meravi who made the grim discovery of Arti’s lifeless body in the Dhopghat area while on duty. The police were immediately alerted to the tragic incident.
Investigations have revealed that the juvenile perpetrator lured Arti out of her house before fatally shooting her in the head. He then callously dragged her body 100 meters away from the crime scene and concealed it in a dense thicket.
