Accident – Death – Obituary News : The mother of a former TikTok star accused of murdering his estranged wife and her friend testified on Monday, May 20, revealing chilling details about the double murder. Ali Abulaban stands accused of fatally shooting his estranged wife, 28-year-old Ana Abulaban, and her friend, 29-year-old Rayburn Barron, at a luxury San Diego apartment complex in October 2021.

According to reports from NBC San Diego, 10 News, and Fox 5, Ali’s mother, Dalal Warra, told the court that her son called her immediately after the incident and confessed to the killings. Initially disbelieving, Warra was shocked when Ali sent her a photo as proof of the crime. She recounted the moment, stating, “I deleted it right away. I hung up the phone and I literally fell on the ground.”

Ali, who had a substantial following on TikTok, had moved out of the apartment he shared with Ana in San Diego. However, Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast alleged that Ali sneaked back inside and installed a listening device on his 5-year-old daughter’s iPad to spy on Ana. After hearing Ana speaking with another man, Ali returned to the apartment and fatally shot Barron three times before assaulting Ana.

On May 21, Ali took the stand in his defense and admitted to a tumultuous relationship with Ana and drug use. He confessed to a violent altercation with Ana, stating, “I snapped, I rolled on top of Ana and I began punching her, in her face, three times. I was just very impulsive.”

During the trial, Ana’s friend, Alexandria Black, testified about her friend’s relationship with Ali, describing him as physically and verbally intimidating. Black shared her discomfort around Ali, stating, “He made everyone in the room feel uncomfortable.”

The courtroom also heard poignant details about the victims, with a GoFundMe page set up for Ana’s funeral expenses expressing the profound loss suffered by her family. Similarly, a separate GoFundMe campaign was created for Barron’s celebration of life expenses, describing him as the “glue to his family.”

The ongoing trial is shedding light on the tragic events of that fateful day in October 2021.
