A devastating crash on Interstate 75 in Bartow County, Georgia, has left a family of five reeling from the loss of three of its members. The tragic incident also claimed the life of a college student, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The Georgia State Patrol reported that the crash occurred near mile marker 286, approximately an hour northwest of Atlanta. The victims, identified as Dakarai and Erin Mason, along with their three children – Brandon, Titus, and Noah, were returning home from a church event when the accident took place.

Tragically, both parents and their eldest son, 14-year-old Brandon Crawford, lost their lives in the crash. The two younger children, 6-year-old Titus and 5-year-old Noah, sustained injuries, with Titus currently in critical condition in the ICU. However, there is hope for Noah’s full recovery, as indicated on a GoFundMe page set up to support the family.

In addition to the Mason family, 21-year-old Aimee Odom, a student at Kennesaw State University, also perished in the collision. The Bartow County Coroner confirmed her death, highlighting the devastating impact of the incident.

According to authorities, the Mason family’s Kia van veered off course while travelling northbound on I-75, crossing the grass median and entering the southbound lanes. The van collided with a Chevy Tahoe and a Toyota 4Runner, triggering a chain reaction involving two more vehicles.

Amidst the tragedy, six other individuals sustained injuries in the crash, further compounding the toll of the incident. The small community has been left in shock and mourning by the tragic loss of life.

Erin Mason, the mother who perished in the crash, was a valued member of the Holly Springs Police Department. The department issued a heartfelt statement mourning her loss and urging respect for the family’s privacy during their time of grief.

The Mason family has requested prayers and privacy as they come to terms with their devastating loss. Bartow County Schools also shared a message asking for support for Brandon and his family, highlighting his impact as a freshman at Cass High Magnet School.

The GoFundMe page set up for the Mason family aims to raise funds for multiple funerals and cover medical expenses for the younger sons. The community has rallied around the family, offering prayers and support during this difficult time.
