WEXFORD COUNTY, UK — A serious three-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday along northbound U.S. 131 in Liberty Township, resulting in multiple injuries, as reported by UpNorthLive. According to authorities, a 53-year-old man from Lake City failed to slow down as he approached slow-moving traffic due to road maintenance.
The incident unfolded when the man collided with the back of an SUV before continuing and crashing into another vehicle. The SUV’s driver, a 40-year-old woman from Mesick, and her 17-year-old son were both rushed to a hospital with severe injuries. Furthermore, a 15-year-old boy who was a passenger in the SUV had to be airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital due to suspected life-threatening injuries.
Fortunately, the 53-year-old man only sustained minor injuries in the accident and was also taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The occupants of the third vehicle involved in the crash emerged unscathed from the incident.
Local law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and no further details have been released at this time.
