The Metro Nashville Police Department recently apprehended a man after he was discovered naked on a woman’s back porch, as reported in an official arrest document.
Authorities were alerted to the incident on May 19 at a residence located in the 3900 block of Baxter Avenue. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers encountered the individual seated on a bench in the porch area.
The occupants of the property informed the police that they had no knowledge of the man’s identity or how he managed to gain access to their backyard. The situation became even more distressing as the man attempted to force open their back door, causing the residents considerable alarm.
According to the report, the suspect proceeded to remove all his clothing and engaged in inappropriate behaviour by touching himself inappropriately.
The man, identified as 27-year-old Ryan Schattenberg, was promptly taken into custody by the police. When questioned by authorities, Schattenberg claimed that he resided at the property and had recently purchased it. However, he was unable to provide the correct address when prompted.
Law enforcement officials also noted that the individual appeared to be searching for a friend named “Mosses” and claimed that he was directed to the location by a higher power.
Schattenberg has since been charged with indecent exposure and will face legal consequences for his actions.
