KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities have reported that a man believed to be involved in a series of crimes in Kansas City, including the fatal shooting of an innocent victim, was discovered dead on Monday in Iowa.

The tragic incident took place on the evening of Tuesday, May 14, when 22-year-old Noah Bryant was found in his vehicle with a gunshot wound in the 6500 block of NW Barry Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Bryant succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Following an intensive investigation into the homicide, detectives identified a 26-year-old man from St. Joseph, Missouri, as a suspect. The individual was named as Christian Crail.

Law enforcement officers traced Crail to Centerville, a small town located in south central Iowa.

On Monday night, authorities were in the process of establishing contact with Crail when they heard a single gunshot. Subsequently, Crail was discovered in his vehicle, having sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an alley.

The May 14 shooting was not the only instance in which Crail was allegedly involved in gun violence in Kansas City. On April 27, Crail reportedly opened fire on a vehicle travelling in Olathe on Interstate 35. Fortunately, the female driver of the vehicle escaped unharmed but later assisted law enforcement in linking this incident to the fatal shooting of Bryant on May 14.

The same black Jeep was purportedly driven by Crail in both the April and May incidents.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Crail’s death in Iowa.
