Accident – Death – Obituary News : Authorities in Camden County are currently investigating two separate fatal shootings that occurred last Friday, leading to the tragic deaths of a 24-year-old and a 28-year-old. The incidents took place eight hours apart from each other, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

The first shooting took place at 12:34 p.m. on May 17, when Camden County police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of Princeton Avenue in Camden. Upon arrival, they discovered Marcus Corbitt, 24, of Camden, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Cooper University Hospital, Corbitt tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m.

Later that same day, at 8:34 p.m., the Camden County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man being dropped off at Cooper University Hospital by a private vehicle. The man, identified as Na’Quan McCray, 18, also from Camden, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at 10:08 p.m.

Detectives revealed that McCray had been shot at Point Street Park, located at York Street and Point Street in Camden. The investigations into both shootings are currently ongoing as authorities work tirelessly to uncover the circumstances surrounding these tragic incidents.
