Accident – Death – Obituary News :

For the past week, McDonald’s had kept the details of its upcoming Grandma McFlurry under wraps, teasing customers with only vague descriptions of a sweet treat made with “delicious syrup” and hard candy pieces reminiscent of something your grandmother might keep in her purse.

Speculation ran wild as to what the flavors might be – peppermint, cough lozenge, or even a lemon drop covered in lint. However, McDonald’s finally put an end to the mystery on Tuesday by unveiling the actual ingredients of the Grandma McFlurry.

According to the official McDonald’s app, the Grandma McFlurry will feature three main elements: reduced-fat vanilla ice cream, butterscotch flavored crumbles, and butterscotch flavored syrup.

Despite their efforts to keep it a secret, McDonald’s couldn’t prevent leaks from Reddit users. Employees revealed the arrival of “butterscotch crumbles” and shared photos of the syrup bottle labeled with “butterscotch flavor.”

The Grandma McFlurry officially launched nationwide on May 21, with some markets offering it earlier. To promote the new dessert, McDonald’s deployed a “Grandma McFlurry Mobile” in New York City, handing out free samples in Herald Square and visiting assisted-living facilities in East Harlem and Queens.

Early reviews on TikTok have been positive, with many enjoying the butterscotch flavors. However, some noted that the experience could be affected by their opinion of butterscotch or the reliability of their local McDonald’s ice cream machine.

One enthusiastic McDonald’s fan took to Twitter to share their excitement about the Grandma McFlurry, only to be disappointed by a broken ice cream machine at their local restaurant.
