Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Authorities in Easton, Massachusetts have confirmed that the human remains discovered behind a home in the area belong to a man who had been missing for almost three years. The bones were identified as those of Mathew Yeomans, a 25-year-old resident of 113 Summer Street.

Yeomans was reported missing by his grandfather on September 19, 2021. At the time of his disappearance, he was dealing with mental health issues. His wallet, ID cards, and cell phone were found at his residence, but he was never located.

The discovery of the remains came after a homeowner found what appeared to be a human skull a few houses down from Yeomans’s home on May 1, 2024. State Police, along with Easton Police and the Bristol County DA’s Office, responded to the scene and uncovered more skeletal remains.

Using dental records, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was able to positively identify the bones as belonging to Yeomans. However, no cause or manner of death has been determined at this time.

Authorities have stated that there is no threat to the public, and the investigation into Yeomans’s death is ongoing.

This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
