TABLE GROVE, Ill. (WMBD) — The Fulton County Coroner’s office has identified the woman who tragically lost her life in a collision on Sunday night in Table Grove, Illinois.
Coroner Austin Rhodes has confirmed that 57-year-old Lisa Rodriguez was the victim of the fatal collision that took place at 9:21 p.m. on U.S. Route 136 near the viaduct in Table Grove.
According to reports from the sheriff’s office, the collision involved two vehicles in a head-on crash. The preliminary investigation revealed that Rodriguez’s 2018 Chevrolet passenger car crossed the centerline and collided with a 2023 Chevrolet pick-up truck.
Tragically, Rodriguez sustained fatal injuries in the collision, while the 78-year-old male driver of the pick-up truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Coroner Rhodes has stated that the circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation by the Fulton County Coroner’s Office. Further testing and analysis will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the tragic incident.
