Kyle Alexander Haden : “Tragic Loss: Teen Killed in Car Crash”

Authorities in Virginia have stated that excessive speeding is suspected to have played a significant role in a devastating car accident that resulted in the deaths of two 16-year-old boys and left the 18-year-old driver in critical condition.

The tragic incident occurred late on Saturday night in the 1200 block of Hockett Road near Tuckahoe Creek Parkway in Goochland County. Virginia State Police reported that the 18-year-old driver, Kyle Alexander Haden, was driving a 2011 BMW 550i at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with a tree.

Family members have shared online that the car was travelling at approximately 100 miles per hour at the time of the crash, nearly double the posted speed limit of 55 mph. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to split in two, with debris scattered over a distance of at least 100 feet from the point of impact, as reported by WWBT.

Haden was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is currently fighting for his life. Reports indicate that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Tragically, two 16-year-old boys, identified as Aiden Schmidt and Joseph Castro, lost their lives at the scene of the accident. The principal of J.R. Tucker High School confirmed their identities in a letter to families, expressing the profound impact of the loss on the school community.
