LEBANON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Lebanon Police Department has tragically confirmed the discovery of the body of Dartmouth graduate student, Kexin Cai, in the Connecticut River.
The 26-year-old Cai had been reported missing since May 15th, with her last known sighting being on an e-bike around 6:00 p.m. heading towards West Lebanon on that fateful day.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a fisherman alerted the authorities around 4:00 p.m. this Monday after spotting a body floating in the Connecticut River. Subsequent investigations confirmed the identity of the deceased as Kexin Cai.
Law enforcement officials have stated that they do not suspect any foul play in this tragic incident.
