PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A devastating incident occurred in Evesham, New Jersey, on Monday night, resulting in the untimely death of a 19-year-old man who was riding a mini bike. The collision with a van at the intersection of Evesboro Medford Road and Tenby Lane proved fatal for the young man, identified as Justin Rapp from Marlton.
Authorities from the Evesham police department swiftly responded to the crash scene at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Monday night. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to Virtua Hospital Marlton, Rapp succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the van involved in the tragic accident was identified as Maryanne Bailey, a 64-year-old resident of Palmyra. Fortunately, Bailey emerged unscathed from the collision.
An initial investigation conducted at the scene revealed that Bailey was travelling east on Evesboro Medford Road before making a left turn onto Tenby Lane. Simultaneously, Rapp was operating a gas-powered mini bike in the opposite direction on Evesboro Medford Road and Tenby Lane, leading to the collision between the two vehicles.
At present, law enforcement officials have not pressed any charges in connection with the incident.
