EVANS MILLS, New York (WWNY/Gray News) – A devastating incident occurred in Evans Mills, New York, where a 16-year-old high school student lost his life during the early hours of Sunday morning at an after-prom party.
According to reports from WWNY, local law enforcement responded to a distress call at a residence in Evans Mills at approximately 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they found an unconscious male, later identified as Jordan Drake, lying in the driveway.
Tragically, Jordan Drake was rushed to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Initial investigations suggest that Jordan had attended an after-prom gathering in the town of Theresa earlier that evening. Jordan was a student at Indian River High School in Philadelphia, New York.
Indian River High School officials expressed their condolences on Facebook and announced that grief counselors would be available to support students and staff starting Monday.
