Gaurav : “Madhya Pradesh Man Rapes 6-Year-Old Girl, Strangles Her To Death”

A man has been taken into custody in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, after being accused of raping and strangling a six-year-old girl. The tragic incident occurred in an abandoned house within the Shikarpura police station limits, where the child’s body was discovered two days after she was reported missing.

Superintendent of Police, Devendra Patidar, revealed that following a preliminary post-mortem examination, the suspect faces charges of murder, destroying evidence, and rape under the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act have been applied in this case.

The alleged perpetrator, known as Gaurav or Khushal, was apprehended as a result of a thorough police investigation. During interrogation, he admitted to enticing the young girl to his residence on the afternoon of May 18. It was there that he reportedly committed the heinous acts of rape and strangulation before disposing of her body in a nearby derelict building.

Three Men Detained for Gang-Raping Schoolgirl in Jabalpur

In a separate but equally distressing incident, three individuals have been arrested for their involvement in the gang-rape of a teenage girl studying in class 9 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. According to authorities at Tilwara police station, the victim’s acquaintance, Shubham Rajak, deceived her into accompanying him in a car.

After the girl failed to return home within a reasonable timeframe, her family grew concerned and initiated a search for her whereabouts. Upon her tearful return, the traumatised victim recounted the harrowing details of her ordeal to her relatives.
