Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Last week, robbery detectives in Indianapolis arrested a 55-year-old man, Alonzo Sansbury, for a pair of thefts on the north side of the city. The incidents, which occurred about 30 minutes apart, involved the suspect attempting to pay with a fake $100 bill at Dollar Tree on North Keystone Avenue before demanding money from the register. The same suspect then targeted Big Lots on North Allisonville Road, where he drew a handgun and took cash along with a pack of Funyuns.

Surveillance footage from both robberies showed the suspect wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, a black stocking cap, gray sweatpants, and black and orange shoes. He also had a noticeable limp and was seen leaving in a white van. Police were able to track down Sansbury using information from license plate readers and located him at a gas station. Upon searching his vehicle, investigators found clothes matching those seen in the surveillance footage, as well as Funyuns.

The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including IMPD Covert Robbery, the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the Auto Theft Unit, and the IMPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will ultimately decide on the charges to be filed against Sansbury.
