A man from Jharkhand lost his life while two others sustained injuries in a shooting incident in Imphal on Saturday. The attack, carried out by unidentified gunmen, occurred near the Nambul river bank in the jurisdiction of the Lamphel police station in Imphal West, as reported by The Hindu.
The deceased has been identified as Shree Ram Hansda, a 42-year-old resident of Jharkhand’s Godda district. The injured individuals, 22-year-old Bittu Murmu and 50-year-old Mitalal Soran, also hail from Jharkhand. All three men were employed as labourers at Keystone Infra, a private firm operating in the area.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and have filed a case to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the violent attack. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this time.
