Phoenix N. Dodds : “Motorcyclist Speeds from Police | News”

Montoursville, Pa. — A 24-year-old man, identified as Phoenix N. Dodds, allegedly led police on a high-speed chase exceeding 110 mph on a motorcycle in Montoursville.

Officer Chris Herb was on patrol in the early hours of May 12 when he observed a motorcyclist traveling at a dangerously high speed on Loyalsock Avenue. Herb quickly got behind the bike, activated his lights and sirens, and attempted to pull over the speeding rider.

However, Dodds reportedly refused to stop and instead accelerated onto Interstate 180 heading west. Dodds continued to increase his speed, reaching in excess of 110 mph on the interstate, according to Herb’s account.

As the chase continued, Dodds took Exit 23 onto Third Street, where he allegedly began weaving in and out of lanes, cutting through traffic, and even performing a wheelie while still speeding. The pursuit came to a halt when Dodds was blocked by traffic at a red light near Red Lobster, allowing officers to apprehend him.

Phoenix N. Dodds is now facing several charges, including felony fleeing, careless and reckless driving, failure to obey traffic control signs, making improper turns, and failure to have a registration plate on his vehicle.
