Accident – Death – Obituary News : Delaware State Police have apprehended Corey Cohee, a 41-year-old resident of Milford, Delaware, for the theft of a Tesla Cybertruck from a home in Lincoln. The incident occurred on the morning of May 18, 2024, when troopers were alerted to a stolen vehicle at a residence on Brick Granary Road.
Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered that a silver 2024 Tesla Cybertruck with temporary New Jersey registration had been taken from the property by an unidentified perpetrator. The stolen vehicle was tracked to a dirt path off Pinecone Drive, where it was located with Cohee behind the wheel. As troopers attempted to approach the truck, it sped off towards Pinecone Drive, ignoring all police signals.
A brief pursuit ensued, culminating in the Tesla coming to a halt on Brick Granary Road. Cohee, the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle, was promptly arrested without resistance. He was subsequently transported to Troop 7 and charged with several offences, including theft of a motor vehicle (a felony), disregarding a police officer signal (a felony), criminal trespass, and failure to possess a license.
Following his arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 3, Cohee was remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $4,002 secured bond. The swift action taken by law enforcement officers ensured the swift apprehension of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.
