A 33-year-old woman and three others have been arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly planning the murder of her husband and disguising it as a heart attack in Yellareddyguda. The shocking incident came to light on Wednesday when one of the accused surrendered to Madhura Nagar police, three months after the crime took place.

The main accused in the case has been identified as Srilakshmi Rajesh, who was involved in an extramarital affair with another man named Rajesh. The two of them hatched a plan to eliminate Srilakshmi’s husband, Vijaykumar, as they wanted to live together and sell their properties in Medchal and Yellareddyguda.

Initially, Srilakshmi and Vijaykumar lived together in a house owned by him. However, Srilakshmi managed to convince Vijaykumar to move to a rented flat in the same area, citing the unfavourable layout of their current residence.

According to the police investigation, Rajesh hired two notorious individuals, Patolla Rajeshwar Reddy and Md Mehtab Ali alias Babban, both known rowdy-sheeters from Borabanda, to carry out the murder. On the morning of February 1, while Vijaykumar was out taking their children to school, the assailants entered the house and waited for his return.

When Vijaykumar arrived home, Srilakshmi locked the door from inside and let the attackers out of their hiding place in the bathroom. They brutally attacked Vijaykumar, striking him on the head with dumbbells and strangling him to death. The body was then concealed in the bathroom to make it appear as if he had died from a heart attack.

The truth behind the murder was finally revealed when one of the assailants, Rajeshwar Reddy, surrendered to the police out of guilt. Following his confession, Srilakshmi, Rajesh, and Babban were apprehended by the authorities.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served.
