2. Collapse of law and order in Karnataka during Congress rule.

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Belagavi, Jagadish Shettar, has raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state under the Congress government’s administration. Shettar expressed his views on Friday, highlighting the rampant cases of murder and dacoity in various parts of Karnataka.

“In so many parts of Karnataka, murder and dacoity are going on. The law and order situation in the entire state is serious and has collapsed due to the maladministration of the state government,” Shettar stated in an interview with ANI.

Shettar’s comments come in the wake of the tragic murder of Anjali Ambiger in Hubballi, which has left the residents of the state living in fear. He emphasized the need for swift action in cases such as the Neha Murder case and the Anjali murder case, urging the government to take responsibility and expedite the legal proceedings.

In response to the murder of Anjali, Karnataka Police have arrested a suspect named Girish alias Vishwa, who was on the run after the brutal killing. Hubbali Commissioner of Police Renuka Sukumar confirmed the arrest of Girish on Thursday, following a manhunt to bring him to justice.

The arrest of Girish has shed light on the lapses in the police system, as two police officials, Bendigeri Police Station Inspector Chandrappa Chickkodi and woman police constable Rekha Havreddi, were suspended for dereliction of duty. Anjali had previously approached the police station to report the accused, but no action was taken, leading to tragic consequences.

Girish’s alleged motive for the murder was his rejection by Anjali after he proposed marriage to her. The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who are demanding justice for the victim and stricter measures to prevent such heinous crimes in the future.

The case bears resemblance to the tragic murder of Neha Hiremath, a 21-year-old college student who was stabbed to death by her former classmate in Hubballi. The swift action taken in Neha’s case serves as a stark contrast to the delayed response in Anjali’s case, highlighting the need for accountability and efficiency in law enforcement.

As the state grapples with these incidents of violence and insecurity, Shettar’s concerns underscore the urgent need for systemic reforms to restore law and order in Karnataka. The government must address the root causes of such crimes and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens..
