On a fateful Saturday, a devastating accident took place in Khushab district, resulting in the loss of 14 lives and leaving 12 individuals injured. The victims, all members of a single family, were travelling in a passenger van from Bannu to Soon Valley for work when tragedy struck.
The harrowing incident occurred when the brakes of the van failed, causing it to veer off the Panj Pir Manawan Road and plunge into a deep ditch. The scene of the accident was chaotic as rescue personnel rushed to provide immediate medical assistance to those in need.
Among the deceased were nine children, with the youngest being just five years old. Heartbreakingly, all the victims belonged to the same family, amplifying the magnitude of the tragedy.
Identification of Victims
Seven of the deceased have been identified as 14-year-old Ishaq, 14-year-old Omar, 45-year-old Rahim, 40-year-old Muhammad Khan, seven-year-old Aleesha, eight-year-old Ghazala, and five-year-old Gul Rahim. The remaining seven victims are yet to be identified.
Medical Aid and Hospitalization
Rescue personnel wasted no time in providing on-site medical aid to four individuals with minor injuries. However, eight severely injured victims required immediate transfer to THQ Hospital Naushera for further treatment and care.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident and extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. He offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured individuals, hoping for their speedy healing.
