A resident of Atlantic City has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a teenager earlier this year on Route 30/Absecon Blvd.

Man Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Following an extensive investigation, Everette D. Williams, a 52-year-old man from Atlantic City, has been identified as the driver involved in the tragic accident. Williams was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Atlantic City without any resistance.

Williams is facing multiple charges, including second-degree knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash, third-degree operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and being involved in a crash resulting in a death, and third-degree removal of a vehicle identification number.

He is currently being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending further legal proceedings.

Collaborative Efforts in Investigation

The Absecon Police Department expressed gratitude towards the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Marshal’s Service, the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, and the Vineland and Pleasantville Police Departments for their assistance in resolving this case.
