CORAL GABLES, FLA. (WSVN) – New Footage Emerges in Fatal Boating Accident

A recently released video captures the moments following a tragic boating accident in Coral Gables, Florida, where a 15-year-old girl lost her life. The footage, shared by Carlos Alonso’s legal team, shows the 78-year-old boater departing from his dock alone on a Saturday afternoon and returning an hour later.

Upon his arrival, Alonso can be seen tying the boat to the dock in the video. His attorney, Lauren Krasnoff, stated that he is devastated by the tragedy but will not be making any further statements at this time.

The new video has been used by Alonso’s lawyers to support their claim that the boater, known as Bill, was unaware that he may have been involved in the accident that resulted in the death of Ella Adler.

We hope this video helps to shut down some of the awful and unfounded rumors going around about Bill, who is absolutely devastated. As the video shows, Bill was alone. He was not drinking. And he had no clue that he may have hit someone – he parked the boat at his home, he was calm, he didn’t clean the boat, and he did not try to hide anything. Bill will continue to cooperate with law enforcement in every possible way.

Adler’s untimely death occurred in Biscayne Bay near Key Biscayne last Saturday after she had finished wakeboarding and fallen into the water, where she was struck by a boat. Witness reports led authorities to the boat parked outside Alonso’s residence in Coral Gables, which was subsequently confiscated by Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officials.

On Wednesday, investigators revealed that Alonso was the owner of the boat and was also the person operating it on the day of the incident. Krasnoff reiterated that alcohol was not a factor in the tragic event and emphasised that Alonso was uninformed about the accident until law enforcement approached him.

Despite declining to speak to the media, Alonso is reportedly cooperating with the ongoing investigation by FWC.
