Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Authorities in Naperville are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on 77th Street, south of 75th Street and east of Wehrli Road. The Naperville Police Department is seeking witnesses and information related to the fatal crash.
On Friday, May 17, 2024, at 6:43 PM, emergency responders were called to the 1600 block of 77th Street for a traffic collision involving a black motorcycle and a white sports utility vehicle. Tragically, despite the efforts of a good Samaritan, the motorcycle driver, a 32-year-old man from Naperville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 69-year-old female from Naperville, was uninjured in the crash. As a result of the severity of the incident, the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit, including traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists, were dispatched to the scene. The roadway remained closed until 11:30 PM to allow for a thorough investigation.
At this time, no charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information relevant to the case is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (630) 420-8833.
