The deceased has been identified as Sheela, a 55-year-old resident of Marthandam and the owner of the establishment known as ‘Natural Royal Salon’. Authorities have revealed that the body had been in the parlour for approximately two weeks.
The unsettling discovery was made when students attending a tuition centre on the building’s upper floor reported a foul odour emanating from the premises. Following this, Shaji, a local resident of Kannettumukku and the building owner, promptly alerted the police. The Thampanoor police force swiftly responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers were forced to break the locks on the door as it had been secured from the inside. Inside the beauty parlour, they found Sheela’s lifeless body. Reports indicate that the deceased had physical disabilities, though further details regarding her family or relatives remain unknown.
