Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Peelukhedi area of Bairagarh, where a 14-year-old boy lost his life after a wall collapsed on him. The victim, identified as Sunil from Lalghati’s Vijay Nagar, was a young shepherd assisting his unwell father, Subhash, in tending to their cattle.
On the fateful day, Sunil and his younger brother, Aakash, went to Peelukhedi to graze the cattle. Seeking refuge from the scorching heat, they sat near a wall. Tragedy struck when the ground beneath Sunil’s left leg gave way, trapping him. Despite his cries for help, neither Aakash nor the passers-by could free him from the sinking ground.
Authorities were alerted, and both the police and the BMC team rushed to the scene to rescue Sunil. However, as they managed to extricate him, the wall unexpectedly collapsed, fatally injuring the young boy. He was quickly transported to Hamidia Hospital, where medical personnel, unfortunately, declared him dead upon arrival.
The devastated family was notified of the tragic turn of events, and Sunil’s body was handed over to his grief-stricken father, Subhash. The loss of Sunil, a promising Class 5 student, has left the community in mourning over the untimely demise of this young life.
