Accident – Death – Obituary News :

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A somber atmosphere enveloped Exchange South Beach as friends and colleagues gathered to honour the memory of Marley William Lester Case, a security guard who tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting outside the nightclub. The emotional gathering, captured by 7News cameras, saw mourners paying their respects to the 31-year-old father who was gunned down in front of the club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The poignant event unfolded just days after the shocking incident that unfolded in the bustling 1500 block of Washington Avenue. It was a chance for those who were present during the shooting to come together and remember the life of the security guard who was taken too soon.

Surveillance Footage Captures Tragic Shooting

7News obtained surveillance video that depicted the harrowing moments of the shooting, shedding light on the sequence of events that led to Case’s untimely death. The footage shows the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dvonn Reaux, approaching Case and firing a shot at close range, leaving him fatally wounded on the sidewalk.

As the victim lay on the ground, the shooter fired another shot, further cementing the senseless nature of the crime. The chilling surveillance stills from the video were pivotal in the arrest of Reaux, who now faces a charge of second-degree murder.

Justice Prevails in Court

During the court proceedings, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer expressed shock at the severity of the crime, questioning why the charge wasn’t elevated to attempted first-degree murder. Reaux was ultimately denied bond and remanded to the Turner Guilford Turner Knight Correctional Center.

Miami Beach Police revealed that the suspect had been ejected from the club earlier in the evening for causing a disturbance, only to return and unleash a barrage of gunfire on the unsuspecting crowd. The security footage captured the chaos and panic that ensued as patrons and staff scrambled to safety.

A Community Mourns

Following the court proceedings, friends and colleagues of Marley Case gathered to mourn his loss and pay tribute to his memory. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Case’s family in this difficult time, allowing well-wishers to contribute towards funeral expenses and other costs.

As the community comes to terms with the senseless act of violence that claimed the life of a beloved security guard, the outpouring of support and solidarity serves as a beacon of hope in the face of tragedy.
