An Albuquerque man, Kevin Vallo, is facing charges for allegedly luring three minor girls to his apartment for sexual purposes, as reported by the U.S. Department of Justice.
The allegations state that Vallo communicated with the girls through the messaging app Telegram. Detectives from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were informed on March 20, 2024, that a 15-year-old girl and her two friends, aged 13, engaged in sexual activities with a 30-year-old man, later identified as Vallo, at his residence in Northeast Albuquerque.
Court documents reveal that Vallo allegedly paid the 15-year-old girl and one of the 13-year-old girls for the sexual acts they performed. Following their departure from the apartment, Vallo reportedly sent the 13-year-old girl two videos containing child sexual abuse material via Telegram.
During questioning, Vallo claimed that he believed the 13-year-old girl was 18 years old. He stated that he refrained from engaging in sexual activities with the other 13-year-old girl as he suspected she was underage. Detectives discovered four videos on Vallo’s phone containing child sexual abuse material involving the 13-year-old, according to court records.
Potential Consequences for Vallo
If convicted of the charges, including sexual exploitation of minors and the production of child pornography, Vallo could face a sentence ranging from 15 to 30 years in prison.
