A man has been left hospitalized after being attacked with a sword in an early Wednesday morning incident in Alliance. The suspect, 23-year-old Gary Shott, has been taken into custody following the altercation.
Police Respond to Stabbing Incident
Authorities were alerted to the situation after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Homestead Avenue. Upon arrival, officers swiftly apprehended Shott, who is believed to be responsible for the attack.
Victim Receives Medical Treatment
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was swiftly transported to Box Butte General Hospital for urgent medical attention. Subsequently, they were transferred by AirLink for further treatment.
Suspect Faces Multiple Charges
Shott now faces a series of charges in connection with the incident, including 2nd Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Assault Causing Bodily Injury. An arraignment date has been set for May 21st at Box Butte County Court.
