TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man is now facing multiple charges after Marana Police reported that he allegedly stabbed three of his family members last week.
The incident took place on Thursday, May 9, at a residence located near the intersection of Cortaro and Silverbell in Marana.
According to police reports, a 911 call was made by a witness who reported that three individuals had been stabbed at the location.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered three victims outside the property, while the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Thomas O’Brien, was still inside the house.
After negotiations, O’Brien eventually exited the premises and was subsequently taken into custody by the authorities.
The victims have been identified as the suspect’s mother, father, and grandmother. The mother and grandmother are currently in critical condition in hospital, while the father was treated and discharged the following day.
O’Brien has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and is currently being held on a bail bond worth $60,000.
