Accident – Death – Obituary News : A 30-year-old man in New Delhi was reportedly confined and subjected to severe thrashing for three days in the Moti Nagar area of west Delhi. The victim, identified as Jitu from Uttam Nagar, worked as a waiter at weddings. The incident came to light when the police received a PCR call on Tuesday, informing them that Jitu’s brother had been abducted and continuously beaten for three days.
Upon receiving the distress call, a team of police officers rushed to the scene and discovered that the altercation had originated on May 11 at the Super Centre Market in Karampura, where Jitu had been drinking with four men. The situation escalated, leading to the accused individuals assaulting Jitu and confining him to a godown in west Delhi for an extended period.
The four suspects involved in the incident – Surender (54), Sonu Singh (33), Manish (28), and Mukesh (34) – have since been apprehended by the authorities. Jitu sustained significant injuries during the ordeal, including two fractures in his left leg fingers, a fracture in his right hand, scalp injuries, and minor bruises all over his body.
A case has been registered against the perpetrators under sections 307 (attempted murder), 342 (wrongful confinement), 365 (kidnapping), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. The victim was eventually rescued from the godown with the help of locals, and he is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The police are actively investigating the incident to determine if additional individuals were involved in the crime. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity for potential leads. The victim’s condition remains critical, and the authorities are committed to ensuring justice is served in this distressing case.
