The first incident took place in Samba, where two sadhus, Baba Bhim Giri, aged 55, and Suresh Kumar, aged 52, both residents of Narwal bypass, were killed when a truck collided with their two-wheeler on a bridge along the Jammu-Pathankot highway. The truck, traveling in the wrong direction, struck the victims around 10 am while they were en route to Pathankot. The reckless truck driver fled the scene, prompting authorities to launch a manhunt to apprehend the culprit.
In Surankote, Poonch, another fatal accident occurred when a passenger vehicle driven by 26-year-old Mohd Naseer Khan veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near his residence in Bufliaz at approximately 11.30 am. Tragically, Khan succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, in Ramban district, a 17-year-old girl named Saboora Rafiq met with a fatal accident when she was struck by a speeding truck near the Banihal court complex along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Law enforcement swiftly apprehended the driver responsible for the tragedy.
In a separate incident on the same highway in Ramban, a driver lost his life while two passengers sustained injuries after a recklessly driven truck collided with a parked dumper near Dalwas. The injured individuals received immediate medical attention at a nearby hospital, while authorities are working diligently to identify the deceased truck driver.
