60-year-old man : “Utah County Man Killed in Garbage Truck Accident”

UTAH COUNTY (ABC4) — A devastating incident unfolded on Wednesday morning in Utah County, resulting in the untimely death of a local man after a semi garbage truck overturned and tragically landed on him.

The heart-wrenching occurrence took place around 5 a.m. at the Intermountain Regional Landfill in Fairfield, Utah, as reported by the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement officials disclosed that two semi garbage trucks were positioned alongside each other when one of the trucks, with its dump trailer fully extended, advanced to discharge the garbage. Unfortunately, the truck struck a soft spot, causing the trailer to tip over and land on the cabin of the other semi, resulting in the tragic death of its driver.

The deceased has been identified as a 60-year-old individual from Lehi, although further details regarding their identity are currently withheld.
