Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Authorities in Nairobi are investigating the mysterious death of a man whose body was discovered in his car along Thika Road. The deceased has been identified as Vitalis Matinde Chacha, aged 42, who was found slumped on the driver’s seat long after his passing.
The cause of Chacha’s death remains unknown as police continue to probe the matter. The black Toyota Mark X, in which the body was found, was parked at the Kastermill area in Kasarani on Saturday night.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the car locked from inside. After breaking into the vehicle, they discovered that the driver had passed away several hours earlier. In his pocket, a wallet containing identification documents and other valuables was found.
As investigations continue, the body has been moved to the mortuary for autopsy and further examination.
Tragic drowning of eight-year-old girl in Nairobi
Tragedy struck in the Kaimgichiri area near Waihenya Bridge within Githurai 44, Nairobi, as an eight-year-old girl lost her life after falling into a swollen river. The young girl was playing with friends in the vicinity when she accidentally slipped and was swept away by the strong water currents.
Her lifeless body was found nearly 500 meters downstream and subsequently taken to the mortuary for examination.
Investigation into death of two-year-old boy in Kasarani
Authorities are also looking into the death of a two-year-old boy whose decomposed body was discovered in a riverbed in Kasarani, Nairobi. The grim find was made by a local resident who was clearing a trench and stumbled upon the remains.
It is suspected that the body was swept downstream by the flooded Gatharaini River in the Immaculate area. The circumstances surrounding the child’s demise remain unclear as police work to identify and ascertain the cause of death.
The body has been transferred to the mortuary for further investigation.
