Sanjay alias Bhediya : “Wanted Criminal Suicide Rajasthan Police”

Jhunjhunu: In a shocking and tragic incident that has come to light in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, a notorious criminal from Haryana took his own life near Khanpur village of Singhana after finding himself cornered by the Haryana Police team. Reports indicate that the criminal, identified as Sanjay alias Bhediya, a resident of Kalhana Charkhi Dadri, fired two shots into the air before turning the gun on himself. The police promptly rushed him to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he was sadly pronounced dead.

A senior official from the Singhana police station revealed that the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) had received intelligence that Sanjay was hiding at an ‘Ashram’ near Mehrana in the jurisdiction of the Singhana police station.

Detailed Account of the Tragic Events

Upon receiving this information, the police team swiftly moved to the ashram and initiated a raid. When they located Sanjay, they instructed him to surrender. However, feeling trapped and with no way out, he resorted to firing shots in the air before ultimately taking his own life.

Following the incident, he was rushed to a nearby medical facility where he was officially declared deceased. Legal procedures are now underway to address the situation.

Sanjay alias Bhediya was a wanted criminal in Haryana with a bounty of Rs 5,000 on his head. He was involved in over 20 criminal cases, including incidents of robbery and kidnapping.

According to police records, Sanjay and his accomplice, Rohit Kaliyana, were responsible for firing at a shop and a residence belonging to a crusher contractor in Anaj Mandi in October 2020. Subsequently, they also targeted two other individuals’ homes on the same day.

While three suspects were apprehended in connection with the case, Sanjay managed to evade capture. The Haryana Police had been actively pursuing him for several days, leading to the unfortunate turn of events in Singhana.
